Qualitative Research Advantages And Disadvantages
Research Qualitative Research- is used to gain an understanding of underlying reasons, and unravels problems which may come up later. It also provides insights into to current trends, which would be useful as it would show what the band is doing well, or if they are not succeeding you would be able to research into it and work out why. One of the drawbacks would be the small amount of people you are performing the research on would limit the results you get. Therefore the findings would not be conclusive. Some common ways to gather qualitative research is through doing small focus groups, group discussions, individual interviews, participation and observation. The sample size is typically small.
